AMY PEASE BOOKS
Book One

In the Northwoods of Wisconsin, an idyllic resort town hides a growing darkness fueled by addiction, money, and silence.
Deputy Sheriff Eli North is barely holding his life together. A veteran haunted by his deployment, he’s struggling with alcohol, broken relationships, and a job he only has because the sheriff is his mother. When a teenage boy is found dead in the lake, Eli is drawn into an investigation that leads far beyond a single crime—into a community shaped by opioids, wealth, and buried violence.

As the search for answers widens to include a missing girl, a powerful enclave, and the influence of Big Pharma, Eli must decide whether redemption is still possible—or whether the truths he uncovers will destroy what little remains.
Book Two

In a town built on quiet loyalties and forgotten people, the truth doesn't stay buried forever.
A year after the events of NORTHWOODS, Deputy Sheriff Eli North is sober, rebuilding his life, and determined not to lose ground. But when an undercover informant disappears under suspicious circumstances, Eli and his mother are pulled back into the shadows of their Wisconsin community.

The arrival of FBI Agent Alyssa Mason exposes a deeper criminal network––one built on exploitation, secrecy, and power––that reaches far beyond their small town. As the investigation intensifies, alliances fracture and the line between justice and survival begins to blur. In a place where everyone has something to hide, uncovering the truth may cost more than anyone is willing to pay.

Amy Pease is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin and the Madison Writer’s Studio, and works as a nurse practitioner, where she is a nationally recognized HIV specialist. She lives in Wisconsin with her husband and two children. Northwoods is her first novel.
